Valves are the outlets that go in your walls and connect the hose to the central vacuum unit.
There are two types:
Regular Valves are suction only. They allow you to use a light weight hose and will work with all tools.
To use electric brush heads with Regular Valves the valves are placed near an existing 110 volt
outlet and a 6' pigtail cord connects the power for the head.
If your home has mostly bare flooring and maybe one or two small rugs, then regular valves are right for your installation.
Super Valves have electricity in them and eliminate the 6' power cord.
These are great but require an electrician to wire in.
We recommend Super Valves for all new construction since they will work with all hoses and tools and the electrician is already there.
